K19 Dye
The K19 Hydrophobic Dye [cis-bis(thiocyanato)(2,2'-bipyridyl-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid)(4,4'-bis(phexyloxystyryl)-2,2'-bipyridine)ruthenium(II)] is comprised of an alkoxy functionalised styryl bipyridine providing a greater Pi conjugation which enhances its optical absorption. The hydrophobic nature of the moiety also increases donor property to the metallic centre and provides steric hindrance to minimise dye stacking, packing and agglomeration behaviour thus increasing the overall device performance.
