n-butylammonium iodide (BAI; CAS Number 36945-08-1) is a popular salt precursor for the preparation of perovskite-based opto-electronic devices including perovskite photodetectors (Kim et al., 2021) and perovskite solar cells (Kim et al., 2022). n-butylammonium cations as organic spacers act as moisture barriers increasing the stability of perovskite solar cells (Rolston et al., 2018).
