3-Ammonium propionic acid iodide (3-APAI; CAS 2096495-59-7) is a precursor in the synthesis of perovskite-based opto-electronic systems. The incorporation of 3-APAI to the precursor solution increased the photovoltaic performance of the hybrid perovskite device thanks to the passivation of defects (Gao et al., 2021).
