Methylammonium Chloride (MACl; CAS Number: 593-51-1) is used as an additive to control the crystallisation of hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites leading to record efficiencies and stability of the resultant devices (Kim et al., 2019; Kosmatos et al., 2019). It has recently been successfully employed as a dopant to reduce bandgap width and trap densities for efficient perovskite photodetectors (Zhao et al., 2021).
